Oral Abstract Submission

The Obstetrics and Gynaecology Imaging SIG would like to invite abstracts from all attendees (Consultants and Trainees) for oral presentation at the O&G Imaging SIG Meeting 2023.

OGSIG Proffered Paper Prize:

Obstetrics and Gynaecology imaging Group is pleased to offer the OGSIG prize for the best oral presentation at the O&G Imaging SIG Meeting 2023.

  • The amount of AU$500 will be awarded to the best oral presentation as judged by the approved panel.
  • Australian or New Zealand, Consultant Radiologists, Sonographers, and resident Radiology Registrars who are employed in an accredited Radiology department/practice in Australia or New Zealand at the time of the abstract submission and presentation are eligible to enter.
  • The award will be judged and presented at the O&G Imaging SIG Meeting 2023.
  • Judging will be undertaken by an independent panel selected and approved by the OGSIG Executive.
  • All oral presentations will be 5 minutes in total, with question time at the end of the session.
  • The oral presentation fits the RANZCR requirements for transitioning trainees.

Terms and Conditions:

  1. Abstract submission must be made via the presentation portal and in the correct .doc or .docx format using the template supplied below. Incorrectly formatted abstracts will not be considered for review, and you will be asked to resubmit.
  2. Abstracts must not exceed 400 words (this applies to the main body of the abstract and excludes abstract title and authors and affiliations).
  3. All abstract content is published as submitted, ensure you have carefully proofed your document prior to upload.
  4. All oral presenters are required to register as an on-site attendee at the meeting.
  5. Oral presentations will be 5 minutes in total.
  6. Oral presentations will be selected from the submitted abstracts and the OGSIG Executive decision is final.
  7. The presenting author must check eligibility for the OGSIG prize prior to submission, and the OGSIG Executive may remove papers from prize consideration should authors not be eligible, without notice.
  8. Applicants will be notified of acceptance by 10 February 2023.

Submission Process:

  1. Download the abstract submission template and write your abstract(s).
  2. Save as separate .doc or .docx file, in an easily accessible location on your computer.
  3. You will be required to enter abstract title, authors and their affiliations, prize application, and a short biography of the presenting author for each paper before uploading the abstract document. Please have this information ready before accessing the portal.
  4. Access the Presentation Portal below, register with your email address, and submit a password.
  5. Update contact information and then follow the instructions.
  6. You are able to upload multiple submissions via the one log-in.
  7. You may access the presentation portal using your email address and password to upload further abstracts until submissions close 29 January 2023.
  8. You will receive a return email to confirm you have submitted your abstract(s). Contact the Conference Manager, should you not receive this email within 24 hours.
